We do not approach people through their problem labels. We see the person first and their problem second and not the other way around and follow the person centred approach to working with clients. We work from the core conviction that each person has some inner capacity to make meaningful changes and live life in a more balanced and happy way.
We take a cognitive and practical yet creative approach when working with people, having learned that no one way has all the answers. This reflects an understanding born of our learning about the mind as well as from own own personal development and mindfulness practice. Our work is connected and informed by Buddhist practice from which mindfulness originates from yet we teach mindfulness in a secular as well as in a humanistic and integrative way.
We prefer to see our role as one of partnership where we support people in learning how to support themselves. Whenever possible and appropriate we aim to empower people to take an active role of participation in managing their own state of wellbeing.
We also support:
Yoga, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychotherapy and Counselling, Nutrition, Naturopathy, Chiropractics, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Coaching, lots of fresh air, sunshine and good quality water.
