We are delighted to share that Robert Gebka the Dorset Mindfulness Centre director won the finalist NHS Chief Executive Award for Innovation at the NHS OSCARS held in September 2013. The price was awarded for initiating, developing and managing the Mindful SPACE for NHS Staff Wellbeing programme made available across Dorset to all 5000 NHS staff. The programme has had participation from nearly 260 staff within a 7 month period with extremely positive feedback

Our Mindfulness for Business & Leadership training team consists of Robert Gebka (far left), a mindfulness trainer, Dr Tim Devine (middle picture), our chartered clinical psychologist, Helena Edwards our Occupational Therapist and Dr Lauren Kita our research psychologist and Teaching Fellow in psychology at Southampton University. These highly trained and experienced individuals co deliver our mindfulness courses and workshops.

We offer the following Mindfulness for business & leadership programmes:

Introductory Tester Sessions

1 to 25 delegates. A tailor-made one or two hour Introduction to Mindfulness. Delegates will be introduced to the fundamental idea of mindfulness with the aim of training in one “simply to do” mindfulness practice technique. This event is held at the place of work. Delegates will receive a Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction CD to support their own practice.


Half-Day or Full-Day tailor-made workshops

1 to 20 delegates. This enables delegates to gain a deeper understanding into Mindfulness. This workshop also provides an opportunity to explore ways in which mindfulness could be integrated into daily work/life. This event is held at relaxed local hotel venue. Delegates will receive a Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction CD to support their own practice.


Work-Life Balance Mindfulness Retreats

1 to 20 delegates. This is an opportunity to get away, relax, re balance and rejuvenate. This is an overnight Dorset beach hotel relaxation experience. The retreat consists of guided introduction to mindfulness & yoga practice, talks on the art of wellbeing, nutrition, beach and nature walk. A nutritious breakfast, lunch and dinner is part of the retreat. Delegates will receive a Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction CD.
