Three pathways in more detail

Pathway A student meet the generic entry requirements with no previous professional mindfulness training experience in Mindfulness Based Interventions (MBI).

For the first two months (October & November), Pathway A students will join both Saturday and Sunday (9am – 5.30pm) training retreats. On Saturday students will be introduced to the core mindfulness modules relevant to generic Mindfulness Based Interventions. Topics such as mindfulness based psychology, the neuroscience of mindfulness, introduction to Mindfulness Based Interventions & Mindfulness Based Attitudinal Factors etc will be covered. On Sunday students will be immersed in the MSBR teaching curriculum, including all relevant subjects.

From month 3 onwards (December, January, February & March) students on Pathway A will only need to join in the Sunday (9am – 5.30pm) training retreat where they will continue to be immersed in MSBR teaching curriculum, including all relevant MBSR subjects, except on month 4 in January which will include both Saturday and Sunday.

Pathway B. Students meet the generic entry requirements and have also completed the Dorset Mindfulness Centre Certified Mindfulness Practitioner (CMP) training.  Due to the fact that Pathway B students have already completed the core mindfulness modules on our CMP training they will only be required to join the Sunday 9am – 5pm training retreat focusing on the MBSR teaching curriculum, including all relevant topics, except for month 4 in January which will include both Saturday and Sunday.

Pathway C: Students meet the generic entry requirements and have also completed other professional mindfulness teacher/practitioner training such as: MBCT, MBRP, MSC, MBCP, MB EAT, MBCL, Breathworks, Zenways and or other) Pathways C students might however be lacking training in some core foundational mindfulness modules, namely: mindfulness based psychology, the neuroscience of mindfulness, introduction to Mindfulness Based Interventions.

Pathway C students will be assessed on an individual basis and a recommendation will be made which modules need to be attended. The outstanding modules can be completed as a 4 or 8 hour CPD weekend training with the Dorset Mindfulness Centre. Please contact us for more details
